EUTB - Supplementary independent participation counseling

The EUTB Schaumburg

With supplementary independent participation advice(EUTB), we support people with disabilities, people at risk of disability and their relatives in recognizing and making use of their rights and participation opportunities. We accompany them on their way to finding their individual place in society and leading a self-determined life.

Current projects

Empower Migrants: Support for immigrants

"Empower Migrants"

helps people who have recently arrived in the district of Schaumburg to find the support they need in difficult life situations – regardless of their origin and language.

Together with local partners, we offer training in 10 languages on topics such as stress management and crisis support.

ZePGiS e.V.

is a modern and innovative association from Schaumburg that is committed to providing access to social life for all people with disabilities and limitations.

We know that many of these restrictions are invisible.

That’s why we support people from Schaumburg who need help to participate due to their personal situation or their physical, intellectual or psychological limitations.

Our stance

At the Center for Psychosocial Health in Schaumburg (ZePGiS), we take a holistic approach to health.

For us, psychosocial health means that every person is able to find an inner balance – even when life is out of balance due to illness or disability.

We are convinced that it is possible to restore this balance. Access to the right information and help is crucial, and this is where we come in.

Our task

We see ourselves as a bridge between people with disabilities and the community in Schaumburg.

Our aim is to remove obstacles – both in the environment and in people’s minds.

It is particularly important to us to encourage those affected to stand up for their rights and their full participation in life in the community.

What makes us special

We have people working for us who have experienced restrictions themselves.

These personal experiences are valuable and help us to tailor our services precisely to the needs of those affected.

This enables us to provide even better support and guidance.

Our vision for an inclusive and diverse society

Peer counselor / recovery facilitator ExIn (in training)

For us, inclusion and diversity mean that everyone - regardless of visible or invisible limitations - should have the same opportunities to participate in life.

Our aim is to create these opportunities and ensure that all people can actively and independently participate in social life.

In addition to our existing projects, we are working on other offers to further realize our vision of an inclusive and diverse community.

Contributors

We work together with professional helpers, people with disabilities and relatives.

We employ people with social security contributions, on a fee basis and on a voluntary basis in our association.

Together, we are committed to implementing participation and inclusion in Schaumburg.
